Tóm tắt
Cưỡng bách tòng quân là một hiện tượng lịch sử trong quan hệ Anh – Mĩ vào cuối thế kỉ XVIII đầu thế kỉ XIX. Hiện tượng này đã tạo nên sự căng thẳng trong quan hệ hai nước mà đỉnh cao là vụ bê bối Chesapeake – Leopard và Cuộc chiến tranh 1812. Dựa trên các nguồn sử liệu, bài báo phân tích quá trình xuất hiện và những nỗ lực của Anh – Mĩ trong xóa bỏ cưỡng bách tòng quân. Kết quả nghiên cứu góp phần làm sáng tỏ nguyên nhân bùng nổ Chiến tranh 1812 và lịch sử ngoại giao Anh – Mĩ nửa đầu thế kỉ XIX.
