Kĩ năng xã hội rất cần thiết đối với sinh viên (SV) không chỉ trong học tập mà còn trong cuộc sống. Hiện nay có nhiều hình thức, công cụ hỗ trợ cho SV rèn luyện kĩ năng xã hội như video, tờ rơi, cẩm nang… Bài viết này tìm hiểu thực trạng nhu cầu sử dụng cẩm nang kĩ năng xã hội của SV. Có ba nhóm kĩ năng được chọn để hướng dẫn cho SV thực hành, đó là: 1) nhận thức xã hội, 2) ứng xử và giao tiếp xã hội, 3) thích ứng xã hội. Phương pháp nghiên cứu định lượng được sử dụng trong bài viết này với sự tham gia của 406 SV. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy sự quan trọng của kĩ năng xã hội ở các mảng hoạt động, SV quan tâm đến ba nhóm kĩ năng xã hội, sự mong đợi của SV về hình thức và cấu trúc của cuốn cẩm nang.
