Phong cách giảng dạy được biết đến là một trong những yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến hành vi và sự thành công trong học tập của sinh viên (SV), và cũng là một chủ đề được nghiên cứu rộng rãi trong lĩnh vực giáo dục. Thông qua tổng hợp và phân tích các nghiên cứu trước đây, bài viết cung cấp cái nhìn tổng quan về tình hình nghiên cứu hiện tại đối với phong cách giảng dạy của giảng viên (GV). Nhìn chung, các nghiên cứu ở lĩnh vực này chủ yếu được thực hiện theo 03 hướng chính: Nghiên cứu các mô hình phong cách giảng dạy, nghiên cứu ảnh hưởng của phong cách giảng dạy đối với người học và quá trình học tập, nghiên cứu các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến phong cách giảng dạy. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy sự quan tâm toàn cầu đối với các vấn đề lí luận và thực tiễn liên quan đến phong cách giảng dạy trong môi trường giáo dục đại học. Tuy nhiên, ở Việt Nam, lĩnh vực nghiên cứu này còn rất hạn chế, đòi hỏi phải tăng cường nghiên cứu cả về lí luận lẫn thực tiễn để hỗ trợ GV Việt Nam trong việc lựa chọn và điều chỉnh phong cách giảng dạy đáp ứng nhu cầu ngày càng phức tạp của môi trường giáo dục hiện đại.
