Bài viết phân tích khái niệm hành vi tự cô lập (HVTCL) (social withdrawal), biểu hiện của HVTCL và phân loại các dạng HVTCL. Trên cơ sở đó, bài viết cũng xác lập khái niệm giải pháp phòng chống HVTCL, được hiểu là những cách thức tác động, giải quyết vấn đề nhằm hạn chế, giảm thiểu hành vi đơn độc được biểu hiện nhất quán trong các tình huống và theo thời gian khi gặp gỡ các mối quan hệ xã hội quen thuộc và/hoặc không quen thuộc, đặc biệt với các mối quan hệ đồng trang lứa ở chủ thể. Có 3 nhóm giải pháp phòng chống HVTCL được đưa ra, bao gồm: (1) nhóm giải pháp để đánh giá, sàng lọc HVTCL, (2) nhóm giải pháp dự phòng HVTCL, và (3) nhóm giải pháp hỗ trợ và can thiệp HVTCL.
